Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Lewiston, Maine. L&D Nurses provide care before, during and after delivery, support the birthing process, and assist physicians with procedures.

The role requires 3 years of acute care experience, ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications. This travel assignment is 12 weeks long, 36 hours per week, on night shifts, with competitive pay and benefits. Immediate start available.

Qualifications

• ACLS certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• NRP certification required.
• AWHONN certification preferred.
• 2+ years of Labor & Delivery experience in acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
• Assess cervical dilation and progress.
• Maintain clean and dry beds; manage fluids and postpartum environment.
• Assist physician with delivery setup and instruments.
• Provide immediate newborn care.
