Job summary

Jobgether seeks a Network and System Architect (Travel Engineer) based in the United States to lead deployments across hotels and resorts nationwide. You will design, configure, deploy, and maintain IT infrastructure, including Windows servers, AD, DNS/DHCP, networking, cloud and virtualization, and hospitality systems.

This role involves extensive travel and direct client interaction with on-site responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in network engineering, systems administration, or IT infrastructure deployment across multiple locations.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory, DNS, DHCP.
• Hands‑on networking knowledge (Layer 2/3), VLANs, TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, wired and wireless.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Intune, VMware, and Hyper‑V.
• Familiarity with hospitality tech (PMS, POS, IPTV, telephony, building systems).
• Understanding PCI DSS, endpoint protection, RMM/MDR, antivirus.
• Experience with backup/disaster recovery (Datto, Veeam).
• VoIP and unified communications knowledge (SIP, QoS).
• Ability to install/test servers, workstations, printers, UPS, IP KVM.
• Strong documentation skills; Visio.
• Certs such as CCNA, MCSA, CompTIA, ITIL desirable.
• Excellent troubleshooting and customer-focused communication.
• Willingness to travel 75% nationwide; reside within 1 hour of major airport; Central US preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, maintain network and systems across hotel locations.
• Lead end-to-end technical project delivery including provisioning and server installations.
• Configure Windows Server, AD, DNS/DHCP, GPOs.
• Implement Layer 2/3 networking, VLANs, QoS, firewalls, wireless.
• Deploy cloud/virtualization solutions (M365, Azure AD, Intune, VMware, Hyper‑V).
• Support PMS, POS, IPTV, telephony, key card, building management systems.
• Ensure PCI DSS compliance and security controls.
• Backup/DR with Datto, Veeam; assist with recovery planning.
• VoIP and unified communications setup and troubleshooting.
• Hardware setup: servers, workstations, printers, UPS, IP KVM switches.
• Documentation and network diagrams (Visio).
• Coordinate travel logistics and on-site activities; manage schedules.
• Provide responsive support and customer service; after-hours as needed.
• Participate in rotating on-call schedule including holidays.
