Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Level III trauma center requiring 2+ years of IR experience and ARRT R certification. This on-site role features rotating on-call coverage and shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with additional night/weekend on-call responsibilities.

Preferred candidates include those with ACLS and ARRT VI, Epic experience, and licensure where applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of IR experience required.
• BLS and ARRT R certification required.
• ACLS and ARRT VI preferred.

• License required if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of IR procedures including angioplasty, embolization, chemoembolization, IVC filter placement/removal, biopsy, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, TIPS, and dialysis graft interventions.
• Maintain sterile field and scrub in for procedures.
• Responsible for room circulation, equipment setup, and patient monitoring during procedures.
• Maintain and stock equipment and supplies; operate fluoroscopy, Philips imaging, ultrasound, and PACS systems.
• On-call coverage with rotating shifts; Epic charting in a Level III trauma center.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of IR experience to support a Level III trauma center's Interventional Radiology department.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology required
• BLS and ARRT(R) required
• ACLS and ARRT(VI) preferred
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Epic experience required
• Must maintain sterile field while scrubbing
• Experience with vascular closure systems, venous access, and central line care preferred
• License required if applicable

Responsibilities

• Full-time position in the Interventional Radiology department
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday on non-holidays
• Rotational on-call coverage required for all non-scheduled hours
• On-call begins at 4:00 PM for 15 hours on weeknights
• On-call begins at 7:00 AM for 24 hours on weekends and holidays
• Level III trauma center
• Department does not perform neuro cases
• Charting system: Epic
• Required skills include Interventional Radiology, Special Procedures, and Genitourinary Studies/Procedures
• Perform a range of IR procedures including angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, biopsy, drain placements, and vascular studies
• Serve as room circulator and scrub technician maintaining sterile technique
• Responsible for equipment setup, maintenance, and inventory stocking
• Use fluoroscopy, Philips equipment, ultrasound, and PACS systems
• Scrubs are provided
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Local candidates accepted within 50 miles at a different rate
• Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated
