Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Level II Trauma facility in Florida. Requires 1+ year of vascular IR experience, ARRT and BLS certifications, and an active Florida license if eligible.

The role involves performing a broad range of IR procedures across a 4-room unit with on-site 7:30 AM–6:00 PM shifts, weekend and on-call duties, and travel-ready status for the facility's demanding caseload.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of vascular IR experience required.
ARRT and BLS certifications required (ARRT Advanced Cert preferred).
Active FL license required if applicable.
Community Hospital experience required; Teaching Hospital experience preferred.
Trauma Level I/II experience preferred.
Cerner charting experience preferred.
Prior travel healthcare experience required.

Responsibilities

Interventional Radiology unit with 4 procedure rooms, 3 with biplane imaging.
Treats a wide variety of cases including stroke intervention, neurointerventions, PE thrombectomy and thrombolysis, DVT interventions, pain management, and oncology procedures (Y-90, MAAs, chemoembolizations).
Daily caseload of 20-30 procedures per tech.
4x10 hour day shifts, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
Weekend work required.
On-call 8-10 days per month with 30-minute response time and on-call sleep rooms.
Will float within scope to meet facility needs, but not to sister facilities.
Level II Trauma and Level I Pediatric Trauma facility with 615 staffed beds.
Perform venous access, vascular closure, genitourinary studies, abdominal/pelvic procedures, vascular interventions, and neurological procedures.
Responsibilities include equipment setup, sterile field maintenance, EKG lead placement, monitoring, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias.
Scrub color required: black or navy.
COVID-19 vaccination required; exemptions accepted.
No RTO during contract.
First-time travelers accepted; Local candidates accepted.
