Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 26-week travel assignment in Margate, FL. You will support physicians with fluoroscopic imaging, patient prep, and sterile technique in a fast-paced IR lab.

This role requires 1 year of IR tech experience, ARRT/RCIS/RCES certification, and current BLS. The position offers comprehensive benefits and travel benefits through Fusion Medical Staffing-Cath Lab.

Qualifications

• One year of recent IR Technologist experience.
• Valid ARRT or RCIS/RCES certification as per state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Operate imaging equipment (fluoroscopy; CT; ultrasound) to guide procedures.
• Scrub in for sterile procedures, pass instruments, and maintain a sterile field.
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and procedural details.
• Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Ensure proper radiation safety for patients, staff, and self.
• Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment to ensure readiness for procedures.
• Manage and restock procedural supplies (catheters, guidewires, contrast agents).
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and team members to provide seamless patient care.
• Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory protocols.
• Provide patient education before, during, and after procedures.
• Perform other duties to support IR lab operations.
