Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Cath Lab is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Danbury, CT. The IR tech will assist physicians in minimally invasive procedures, operate fluoroscopic and imaging modalities, and ensure patient safety in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include one year of IR tech experience, ARRT/RCIS/RCES certification, and current BLS. Preferred ACLS, radiologic license, and additional certifications may be needed.

Qualifications

• One year’s recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.
• Valid ARRT, RCIS/RCES Certification in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Operate imaging equipment to guide procedures (fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound).
• Assist physicians by scrubbing in for sterile procedures and maintaining a sterile field.
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and procedural details.
• Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Ensure radiation safety for patients, staff, and self.
• Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment; restock supplies.
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and team members to provide seamless patient care.
• Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory protocols.
• Provide patient education before, during, and after procedures.
• Perform other duties to support IR lab operations.
