Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Danbury, CT. The IR Tech will assist physicians, operate fluoroscopic imaging, and support vascular and non-vascular procedures in a fast-paced lab.

Requirements include one year IR tech experience, ARRT or RCIS/RCES, and BLS. Preferred ACLS and radiologic technologist license; additional certifications may be required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of recent Interventional Radiology Technologist experience.
• ARRT or RCIS/RCES certification in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures.
• Operate imaging equipment (fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound) to guide procedures.
• Assist physicians by scrubbing in for sterile procedures and passing instruments.
• Monitor and document patient vitals and procedural details.
• Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Ensure radiation safety for patients, staff, and self.
• Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment for procedures.
