Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position in California, requiring a CA RN license and at least 1 year of IR experience. The role entails day shifts (7:00 AM–3:30 PM) with a 7/14 on-call schedule and potential cross-facility travel.

Candidates must have BLS/ACLS, active CA RN license (compact license acceptable at submission), and be able to provide two supervisory references.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license required (Compact license must be in hand at submission)
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience required
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Experience with end-tidal CO2 monitoring, ACT, cardioversion, and vascular closure devices
• Experience with vascular, neurological, genitourinary, and pulmonary IR procedures
• Experience administering procedural sedation and managing related medications
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Acute care hospital with 392 staffed beds
• Interventional Radiology unit, including Pre/Post Procedure and Special Procedures areas
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Call requirement of 7 out of 14 days, mixing weeknights and weekends, with every other weekend included
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Floating between sister facilities may be required
• Provide direct patient care during interventional radiology procedures including vascular, neurological, and genitourinary interventions
• Scrub color is unrestricted
• Free parking available onsite
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer RTO changes may not be accommodated
• First-time travelers considered if highly experienced in the specialty
• Previous Providence permanent employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as travelers and must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history with Providence facilities, including dates and locations
