Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Vascular Lab requiring 24+ months of hospital-based interventional vascular/IR experience. The role includes 4x9 hour day shifts (0700-1630), 36 hours weekly, with 6–8 call days per month and holiday rotation.

Candidates should have BLS, RCIS/CCI or ARRT preferred, and Iowa radiology license where applicable; Epic EMR experience is used. Travel rate restrictions apply for locals within 50 miles.

Qualifications

• Minimum 24 months interventional vascular/IR lab experience in a hospital/medical center setting.
• RCIS/CCI or ARRT certification preferred; Iowa Radiology license highly preferred (license required if applicable).
• Active BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required.

Responsibilities

• Vascular Lab setting within a hospital or medical center.
• 4x9 hour day shifts, 0700-1630, 36 hours per week.
• Call 6-8 days per month, including every 4th/5th weekend, based on staffing needs.
• Work involves interventional vascular and IR lab procedures.
• EMR system used is Epic; holiday rotation required unless unit closed.
• Candidates must be willing to work 1-2 of the 3 upcoming winter holidays unless the unit is closed.
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered for the travel rate.
• Prior UnityPoint Health employees may be restricted from working travel assignments at other UPH facilities within 12 months of separation.

• Cardiac Cath Lab/CCL experience in a hospital or medical center setting preferred
• Proficiency in endovascular procedures preferred
• Experience with thrombolytics highly preferred
• Active BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• RCIS/CCI or ARRT certification preferred
• Iowa Radiology license highly preferred; license required if applicable
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Professional reference from a supervisor, charge nurse, manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred
