American Traveler, LLC. seeks an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years IR experience and ARRT certification to join a Level IV Trauma Center's IR team in Wisconsin. The candidate should be comfortable scrubbing, operating the table, suturing, and circulating cases, with EPIC, PACS, and Siemens C-arm experience.

Active licensure is required; RCIS alone is not accepted. First-time travelers and local candidates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years IR experience; 3 years Rad Tech preferred.
• ARRT certification required; RCIS not accepted.
• Active license required if applicable; US candidates preferred.
• Must scrub into cases, operate the table, suture and circulate.
• Experience with EPIC, Siemens C-arm, and PACS systems.
• Knowledge of sterile technique; scrub with MD.
• References: at least 1 professional dated within last year.

Responsabilités

• Work in IR department with 1 IR suite and 1 minor procedure room.
• Serve Level IV Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center with 56 beds.
• Treat adult to geriatric inpatients and outpatients, excluding neuro IR cases.
• Staffing per case includes 1RN, 1 Tech, Radiologist/PA; higher cases require more staff.
• Perform procedures: biopsies, drains, angiograms, coils, G-tubes, vertebral procedures, etc.
• May float to CT to continue cases as needed; on-call weekends and weekdays.
• Lead Tech assists scheduling and daily lab operations; orientation provided.

American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of IR experience and ARRT certification to join a Level IV Trauma Center's IR team.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of IR experience required; 3 years of Rad Tech experience with quality imaging techniques preferred
• BLS and ARRT certification required; RCIS alone not accepted
• Active license required if applicable
• Must be comfortable scrubbing into cases, operating the table, suturing, and circulating cases
• Experience with EPIC, Siemens C-arm, and PACS systems
• Knowledge of sterile techniques and ability to scrub independently with MD
• Candidate's middle name or initial, date of birth, and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
• Minimum of 1 professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

Responsibilities

• Work in an Interventional Radiology department with 1 IR suite and 1 minor procedure room
• Level IV Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center with 56 beds
• Treat inpatient, outpatient, and ER patients ranging from adult to geriatric, excluding Neuro IR cases
• Minimum staffing per case includes 1 RN, 1 Tech, and a Radiologist/PA/APC, with higher level cases requiring additional staff
• Perform paras/thoras, biopsies (bone, thyroid, liver, renal), abscess drainage, upper/lower extremity angiograms, fistulograms, g-tube placement/exchange, kyphoplasty/vertebroplasty, coil embolizations, nephrostomy tubes/nephroureteral stents, trialysis catheters/central lines, ports, and IVC filters
• Y90 and TIPS experience preferred
• Uses EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, and Siemens Artis Zee C-arm
• 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, with rotating start times of 0730-1600 or 0800-1630
• May float to CT to continue cases with patients as needed
• On-call requirements include 1 weekend per 3-week schedule (Friday-Monday) and 1-2 weekday call shifts per week (1630-0700)
• Holiday call coverage required every other holiday
• Department supported by a Radiologist, RNs, Techs, RT, Hospitalist, Rapid Response/Code Team, and management staff
• Fully staffed model includes 4 RNs and 3 Techs
• Lead Tech manages scheduling and daily lab operations
• 3 days of orientation provided, with additional days available if needed, including buddy call
• Scrubs provided; shoes may be stored in locker room or shoe covers required if worn from home
• Free parking available in on-site lot
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate with no radius restrictions
• Former employees of the health system or its subsidiaries must be separated for at least 12 months before becoming eligible for travel assignments
• RTO requests must be approved through the manager
