Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR tech) for a 13-week assignment in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The role involves preparing patients, operating fluoroscopic imaging, and supporting complex vascular procedures in a fast-paced IR lab.

Requirements include one year of IR tech experience, ARRT/RCIS/RCES certification, and current BLS. Preferred are ACLS and state licensure. Competitive pay and benefits accompany this travel opportunity.

Qualifications

• One year’s recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.
• Valid ARRT, RCIS/RCES certification in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Operate imaging equipment to guide procedures (fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound).
• Scrub in for sterile procedures, pass instruments, and maintain a sterile field.
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and procedural details.
• Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Ensure proper radiation safety for patients, staff, and self.
• Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment and supplies.
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and team members to ensure seamless care.
