Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 3+ years of interventional procedure experience and ARRT RT(R) certification for a cardiac interventional radiology role. The position involves day shifts (4x10 hours) and requires BLS; ACLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• ARRT RT(R) certification required.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support interventional radiology procedures for peripheral vascular cases.
• Work day shift: 4x10 hours, 8:30 AM–6:30 PM.
• One weeknight of call with rotating schedule every 4–5 weeks.
• Float between two facility campuses for ICU/ICCU coverage as needed.
• Use Epic charting system with test-out option available.
• Collaborate with physicians and care team to assess and implement patient care.
• Set up equipment, circulate room, and maintain sterile field while scrubbed in.
• No mile radius restriction; local candidates accepted at the same rate.
• Limit on RTO: no more than 10 days per 13-week contract; prefer none in first week.
• Former employees must wait 12 months before returning as traveler; case-by-case review.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required; Associate's Degree required
• Minimum of 3 years of Interventional Procedures experience
• ARRT RT(R) certification required
• Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technologist Program or Radiological Technologist Program with current ARRT registration
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• VA state license or compact license required in-hand (license required if applicable)
• Experience with procedures such as angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, angiography, and vascular closure systems preferred
• One reference required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Interventional Radiology unit providing care for patients undergoing peripheral vascular and interventional procedures
• Day shift schedule of 4x10 hours from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM
• One weeknight of call plus a rotating call schedule every 4-5 weeks
• Required to float between two facility campuses for ICU/ICCU coverage, with all other floating within scope
• Uses Epic charting system with a test-out option available
• Collaborates with physicians and care team members to assess, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Responsibilities include equipment set up, room circulating, and maintaining a sterile field while scrubbed in
• No mile radius rule for this position
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
