Job summary
Fusion Medical Staffing-Cath Lab is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 26-week assignment in Miami, FL. The IR technologist will prepare and position patients, operate fluoroscopy and other imaging modalities, and assist physicians during sterile procedures in a fast-paced travel role.
The role requires ARRT/RCIS/RCES certification, BLS, and at least one year of IR tech experience, with remote or ACLS/PALS preferred qualifications.
Qualifications
- One year’s recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.
- Valid ARRT or RCIS/RCES Certification in compliance with state regulations.
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
Responsibilities
- Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
- Operate imaging equipment including fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound to guide procedures.
- Scrub in for sterile procedures, pass instruments, and maintain a sterile field.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and procedural details.
- Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions.
- Ensure proper radiation safety for patients, staff, and self.
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other team members to provide seamless patient care.
