Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Athens, GA. You will support interventional procedures, position patients, and operate imaging equipment in a fast-paced lab.

Qualifications

• One year's IR technologist experience.
• Valid ARRT or RCIS/RCES certification.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for IR procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Operate imaging equipment (fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound) to guide procedures.
• Assist physicians by scrubbing in, passing instruments, maintaining sterile field.
• Monitor vital signs and document procedural details.
• Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Maintain radiation safety for patients and staff.
• Troubleshoot and maintain imaging equipment; ensure readiness.
• Restock supplies and manage catheter/contrast inventories.
• Collaborate with radiologists and nurses to ensure seamless care.
• Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory protocols.
• Educate patients before, during, and after procedures.
• Perform other duties to support IR lab operations.
• Adhere to hospital safety standards and regulations.
