Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology RN for a 13-week assignment in Gilbert, AZ. The IR RN will provide specialized nursing care in the IR lab, manage pre- and post-procedure processes, and support radiologists and technologists throughout procedures.

Requirements include 1 year IR RN experience, active RN license, and BLS. Preferred certifications such as PALS/ENPC, ACLS, RCIS/RCES may be considered. Travel benefits and competitive pay are offered.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an Interventional Radiology RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive pre-procedure assessments including medical history review and labs
• Educate patients and families about IR procedures, sedation, and post-procedure care
• Administer and monitor moderate sedation to ensure patient comfort and safety
• Monitor hemodynamic status, rhythms, and oxygenation during procedures
• Assist physicians during procedures with proper positioning and sterile technique
• Recognize and respond to complications and escalate care as needed
• Provide post-procedure monitoring, recovery, and discharge education
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, medications, and procedures
• Collaborate with IR team to deliver coordinated care
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
• Perform other duties within scope of practice
