Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Cath Lab seeks a skilled travel nurse RN Interventional Radiology for a 13-week assignment in Duluth, GA. The IR RN will handle pre, intra, and post-procedure care, collaborate with radiologists and technologists, and ensure patient safety.

Requirements include one year IR RN experience, active RN license, and current BLS, with optional PALS/ENPC, ACLS, RCIS/RCES certifications. Travel benefits and weekly pay are provided.

Qualifications

• One year’s recent experience as an Interventional Radiology RN

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive pre-procedure assessments, including reviewing medical history and lab results
• Educate patients and families about IR procedures, sedation, and post-procedure care
• Administer and monitor moderate sedation, ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Monitor hemodynamic status, cardiac rhythms, and oxygenation levels during procedures
• Assist physicians during procedures, ensuring proper positioning, sterile technique, and instrument handling
• Recognize and respond to complications, escalating care when necessary
• Provide post-procedure monitoring and recovery care, including pain management and patient discharge education
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, medications, and procedural details
• Collaborate with IR technologists, radiologists, and other healthcare team members to deliver coordinated care
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice
