Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel Nurse - Interventional Radiology RN for a 12-week assignment in Minneapolis, MN. You will join a dedicated clinical team, deliver care across pre-, intra-, and post-procedure phases, and contribute to patient education and safety.

The role requires IR RN experience, valid Minnesota RN license, and BLS. Preferred certifications may include PALS/ENPC, ACLS, and RCIS/RCES for enhanced opportunities. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• One year’s recent experience as an Interventional Radiology RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive pre-procedure assessments, including reviewing medical history and lab results.
• Educate patients and families about IR procedures, sedation, and post-procedure care.
• Administer and monitor moderate sedation, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Monitor hemodynamic status, cardiac rhythms, and oxygenation levels during procedures.
• Assist physicians during procedures, ensuring proper positioning, sterile technique, and instrument handling.
• Recognize and respond to complications, escalating care when necessary.
• Provide post-procedure monitoring and recovery care, including pain management and patient discharge education.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, medications, and procedural details.
