Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Infusion for a travel assignment in Des Moines, IA. The role focuses on infusion therapy, PICC care, and comprehensive patient management across settings.

Ideal candidates bring RN experience in infusion, BLS certification, and the ability to lift and stand for extended periods. Travel, 13 weeks, 40 hours per week with full benefits accompany this opportunity.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of RN infusion experience.
• Current BLS certification and eligibility for state licensure.
• Ability to stand/walk long periods and lift with proper body mechanics.
• Autonomous, organized, and compassionate with strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients to determine need for infusion therapy or PICC placement.
• Insert, maintain, and care for PICC lines and other central venous access devices.
• Administer IV medications, fluids, and monitor infusion responses.
• Educate patient and family on PICC care and infusion therapy at home.
• Coordinate care with the team to ensure continuity and safety.
• Document nursing interventions and patient responses promptly and accurately.
