Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown unit in Morgantown, WV. The role requires strong MedSurg Stepdown experience and drip-titration skills on night shifts within an acute care hospital setting.

Responsibilities include 32 beds with 1:3 to 1:4 patient ratios, post-surgical Thoracic and Medicine cases, and EPIC EMR usage. Travel experience is valued, with housing allowances and comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Active RN license WV or Compact.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of MedSurg Stepdown experience.
• Must be able to titrate drips per MD orders.
• Interpret and chart telemetry rhythms with assessments.
• Unexpired driver's license copy required.
• BSN not required.

Responsibilities

• 32-bed Stepdown unit in an acute care hospital setting.
• Patient ratios 1:3 for Stepdown or 1:4 for combined assignments.
• Primarily post-surgical Thoracic and Medicine patients.
• 12-hour night shifts.
• Weekend requirement of 3 shifts in a 4-week schedule.
• No call or standby requirement.
• Floating is very rare; uses EPIC EMR.
• Unit orientation provided; telemetry monitoring and assessments.
• Holiday coverage may be required.
• Travelers may not work within WVU system for longer than one year.
