Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for ICU (Intensive Care Unit) in Plano, Texas. This role offers a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week, 12-hour day shifts, and travel benefits.

The nurse must hold an active RN license, possess a degree from an accredited nursing program, and have BLS & ACLS certifications, with at least 18 months of ICU acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Active RN License is required.
• Degree from an accredited nursing program is required.
• BLS and ACLS certification are required.
• Minimum of 18 months of ICU acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care for adult ICU patients and educate families.
• Ensure life-support equipment functions properly (ventilators, tubes).
• Monitor vitals and detect signs of distress.
• Administer medications and insert catheters as needed.
• Accurately document medication administration in charts.
• Assist in emergency nursing procedures as needed.
• Perform CPR accurately and promptly.
