Duties and Responsibilities

ICU/Critical Care Nurse (RN) manages the care of adult patients with life‑threatening problems requiring complex assessment, high‑intensity therapies, and interventions, including family education and support.

• Provide patient care and education for patients and families.
• Ensure proper functioning of life support equipment such as ventilators and feeding tubes.
• Observe patient vitals for signs of distress.
• Administer medication, IVs, and insert catheters as needed.
• Meticulously document medication administration.
• Assist in emergency nursing procedures for prompt control of changes in patient’s physical condition.
• Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation accurately and effectively.
