American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Medical ICU RN for a night shift assignment. The role requires ICU experience and ACLS/BLS certification, with NIH Stroke Certification needed for MICU placement.

Responsibilities include working in a 12-bed MICU, varying patient ratios, night shifts 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, every-other-weekend scheduling, and floating as needed. Equipment includes Meditech EMR and ICU devices; travel housing and reimbursements are offered.

Qualifications

• Active VA or compact RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required.
• NIH Stroke Certification required for MICU placement.
• PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications preferred.
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration.
• One professional reference required for consideration.
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 12-bed Medical ICU within a hospital setting.
• Patient ratios vary between 2:1, 3:1, and 1:1 depending on acuity.
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Every other weekend required with no on-call obligations.
• Floating required throughout the facility as needed.
• Unit utilizes Tablo, Belmont, Baxter Pumps, Codman EVDs, Hillrom Call System, Imobile, and Hemosphere equipment.
• Meditech EMR used for charting.
• Care for critically ill medical ICU patients requiring close monitoring and specialized interventions.
• Perform procedures such as EVD management, SLED, central line care, para/thoracentesis, lumbar drains, and targeted temperature management (TTM).
• Join a team-focused unit with strong collaboration between day and night shift staff.
• Navy blue scrubs required per facility dress code.
• Flexible scheduling available to accommodate most needs outside of block scheduling.
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted.
