Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an ICU RN for a night-shift float pool role in New Orleans, LA, requiring 2 years of ICU experience and Epic charting proficiency. This travel nursing position offers 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30) with a patient ratio of 1:2 and rotation including every other weekend and holidays.

Active LA or Compact RN license is required, plus BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS; CCRN and CPI are preferred. Local candidates within 75 miles are paid at local rate.

Qualifications

• Active LA RN license or Compact RN license required at time of consideration.
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Preferred certifications: CCRN, CPI.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
• Broad ICU skill set including ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, CRRT/CVVHD, and management of cardiac, neuro, renal, and respiratory patients.

Responsibilities

• Float pool position covering all ICUs including MICU, TICU, Neuro ICU, and Burn ICU.
• Night shift, 4x12 hours, 19:00-7:30.
• Patient ratio of 1:2.
• Every other weekend required.
• Holiday coverage required.
• No call requirements.
• Uses Epic charting system.
• Care for critically ill patients across multiple ICU specialties including cardiovascular, neuro, trauma, and burn units.
