Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Medical ICU position in California. Active CA RN license, EPIC EMR experience, and ACLS/PALS are required. BLS is mandatory. BSN preferred with at least 3 years ICU experience.

This role features a night shift 6:30 PM–7:00 AM and a 36–48 hour weekly auto-offer. Vaccinations are required, dual eligibility for travel/local candidates is noted. Ideal candidates bring acute care ICU experience, no adverse licensure history, and a willingness to relocate if

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license required
• BLS certification from an approved vendor required
• ACLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• PALS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• BSN preferred
• Acute care facility experience preferred
• Minimum 3 years of ICU experience required
• No prior adverse licensure actions permitted

Responsibilities

• Medical ICU unit within an acute care hospital
• Night shift schedule, 6:30 PM-7:00 AM
• Auto-offer of 36 or 48 hours per week
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Deliver coordinated nursing care for assigned ICU patients according to established standards and the nursing process
• Supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff and coordinate care across disciplines
• Collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine diagnosis and care needs; develop and implement care plans, evaluate patient outcomes, and adjust interventions as needed
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide safe and compassionate care
• Provide patient and family education and participate in discharge planning
• Required vaccinations as a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions considered
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will not be considered
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates with no radius restriction
