American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical ICU position in California. Requires a CA RN license, BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC-ALS), and EPIC experience.

The role is a day shift, 36-hour contract within a 25-bed critical access hospital, with responsibilities spanning nursing care, education, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Minimum 3 years ICU and critical care experience are required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA or ARC-ALS).
• PALS certification preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of ICU experience required.
• Critical care experience required.
• BSN preferred.
• Acute care facility experience preferred.
• No candidates with a prior hit on their license will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Medical ICU unit within a 25-bed critical access hospital.
• Day shift, 36-hour contract, 07:00 AM-07:30 PM.
• Requires EPIC experience.
• Delivers coordinated nursing care using the nursing process for an assigned patient group.
• Supervises and directs nursing staff and coordinates care across disciplines.
• Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers to support a safe, healing environment.
• Provides patient/family education and participates in discharge planning.
• Delegates tasks appropriately among healthcare team members.
