MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Merced, California.

This assignment runs for 13 weeks with 36 hours per week on a 12-hour day shift. Qualified candidates hold an active RN license, BLS & ACLS certifications, and have 18 months of ICU experience in an acute care setting. Eligible travelers will join a nationwide, Joint Commission-certified agency offering excellent benefits.

Qualifications

• Active RN license
• BLS & ACLS certification
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care ICU setting
• Degree from accredited nursing program

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and education to patients and families.
• Ensure functioning of life-support equipment (ventilators, feeding tubes).
• Monitor vital signs (heart rate, BP, respiration) for distress.
• Administer medications, IVs, and catheterizations as needed.
• Meticulous documentation of medications.
• Assist in emergency nursing procedures for rapid changes in condition.
• Perform CPR accurately and effectively.
