Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel assignment in Simi Valley, California. The role requires 36 hours per week with 12-hour day shifts and a 13-week duration. You will provide care for adult ICU patients, manage life support equipment, and collaborate with the healthcare team.

Qualifications

Active RN license is required.
A degree from an accredited nursing program is required.
BLS & ACLS certification are required.
Eighteen months of ICU experience in Acute Care is required.

Responsibilities

Provide patient care and family education and support.
Ensure proper functioning of life-support equipment such as ventilators and feeding tubes.
Monitor heart rate, blood pressure, and respiration for distress.
Administer medications, IVs, and insert catheters as needed.
Meticulous documentation of medication administration.
Assist in emergency nursing procedures for rapid changes in patients’ condition.
Perform CPR accurately and effectively.
