Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Trauma ICU team. This position requires proficiency in acute care ICU skills and a strong background in trauma and surgical ICU settings. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care, support families, and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications.
• Perform advanced nursing procedures such as intubation, chest tube placement, and central line placement.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement personalized care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and care needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner Power Chart.
• Participate in unit activities, including training and mentorship of new staff.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid Nursing License (RN) in the state of North Carolina.
• Active ACLS and BLS Certifications.
• Must have trauma ICU experience in Level I or Level II Trauma Centers.
• Experience in a surgical ICU setting.
