ARMStaffing is seeking an experienced Neuro ICU RN for a travel assignment in Asheville, NC. The nurse will provide care in a 12-bed Neuro ICU with a 1:2 ratio, focusing on post-thrombectomy, TPA, and post-neurosurgery patients. This 13-week contract runs 36 hours/week, with 12-hour nights.

ACLS/BLS required; ICU experience preferred. Travel, housing assistance, and stipends may be included to support our clinicians.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Float to other ICU or step-down units as needed.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Neuro ICU Registered Nurse to join our team. The nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in the Neuro ICU, specifically focused on post-thrombectomy, TPA, and post-neurosurgery patients. The unit comprises 12 beds with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:2, ensuring optimal patient care and safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care for neurology patients, including post-thrombectomy and TPA patients.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing necessary interventions.
• Administer medications and perform complex procedures, including CRRT and bedside EVDs.
• Maintain thorough documentation in the Cerner system.
• Float to other ICU units or step-down units as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have valid ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Previous ICU experience is required, with a preference for neurology-focused care.
• Experience with advanced skills in neurology post-operative care is essential.
