Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with recent trauma experience and telemetry skills for critical care assignments requiring NH or compact licensure.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 10-bed hospital ICU focused on critical care nursing
• Care for critically unstable medical and surgical patients with advanced technological monitoring
• Patient ratios are 2:1 or 1:1 based on acuity, isolation needs, and RN experience
• Use of electric therapeutic beds, emergency call systems, cardiac monitoring, and critical care equipment
• 12-hour shifts available for days or nights, with three shifts per week
• Every other weekend is required
• Rotating holidays are part of the schedule
• Responsible for rapid recognition and management of life-threatening complications in critically ill patients
• Emphasis on total patient care and family support in the ICU environment
• Team-oriented work environment focused on 24-hour critical care coverage

Requirements

• Active NH or compact RN license with proof of state residency
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent ICU experience, including telemetry
• Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience within the last two years
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• CCRN certification preferred
• No local candidates permitted; must reside at least 75 miles from the facility
