Details

14-bed ICU unit within a hospital setting Patient population includes medical cases such as alcohol withdrawal, ARDS, COPD, GI bleed, drug overdose, and COVID, with occasional surgical cases (VATS, carotids, CEAs) Care for post-surgical and medically complex patients including those on ventilators, pressors, a-lines, and chest tubes

• Patient ratio of 1:1 or 1:2
• Unit serves as the code team and rapid response team for the hospital
• Intensivists provide coverage during the day, with NPs covering night shift
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hour shifts from 18:45 to 7:15
• Cerner EMR experience preferred but not required

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required in hand
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• CCRN certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration/monitoring
• Experience with Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and emergency response
