Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced HVAC mechanic for our North America team. You will troubleshoot, repair, and install advanced commercial HVAC systems, including chillers, pumps, and rooftop units, with travel to multiple sites.

You’ll work closely with customers to diagnose issues, explain solutions clearly, and ensure reliable, efficient system operation while growing your skills through our training programs and mentorship within a safety-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Must hold Universal EPA refrigerant license and be open to travel (50–75%).
• Experienced with commercial/industrial HVAC systems including chillers, boilers, pumps and compressors.
• Strong problem-solving, diagnostics, and clear customer communication.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair advanced commercial HVAC systems on site.
• Install and commission on-site equipment including chillers and rooftop units.
• Diagnose issues, explain solutions to customers, and ensure efficient operation.
• Collaborate with a team, mentor apprentices, and grow technical expertise.
