Job summary

Good Shepherd Community Care is seeking an experienced Music Therapist to join our Expressive Arts Therapies team. Travel is required to provide music therapy services in patients’ homes and facilities around Greater Boston and parts of Metrowest.

The role involves initial assessments, developing individualized care plans, and working within an interdisciplinary team to support patients and families facing life-limiting illnesses. Strong communication and time-management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Music Therapy from a recognized school.
• MT-BC certification required or MLS equivalent.
• Experience with hospice and/or pediatric palliative care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use therapeutic music activities to address emotional and psychological needs of patients with life-limiting illnesses.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to provide compassionate care.
• Complete initial assessments and establish individualized care plans with goals and visit frequency.
• Travel to patient homes and residential facilities throughout Greater Boston and Metrowest.
• Represent Good Shepherd professionally with partners and community.
