Job Details

• Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per shift, 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of experience as a histotechnician.
  • Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) certification through ASCP.
  • ASCP certification.
• Additional Information:
  • Processes tissue specimens through fixation, paraffin embedding, microtomy or cryostat sectioning, slide mounting, and staining.
  • Recognizes factors affecting procedures and result quality and takes corrective action when needed.
  • Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and instruments.
  • Manages laboratory supplies and quality-control procedures as needed.
  • Weekend work is not typically required unless adequate weekday histotechnician coverage is unavailable.
