Cross Country Allied is seeking a travel Histology Technologist for a placement in Atlanta, Georgia. The role involves supporting pathology laboratory operations including specimen receipt, processing, embedding, sectioning, and slide staining.

The candidate will work a day shift (5:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m.), Monday through Friday, on a 13-week travel assignment with 40 hours per week. ASCP HT/HLT certification and at least 2 years histology experience are required.

Qualificações

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in histology.
• ASCP certification as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histology Technician (HLT).
• Formal histology technologist training program or an associate degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shift, 5:00 a.m.1:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in histology.
  • American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certification as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histology Technician (HLT).
  • Successful completion of a formal histology technologist training program or an associate degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences.
• Additional Information:
  • Receives specimens from surgery.
  • Accessioning of specimens.
  • Collects tissue blocks from pathology assistant staff.
  • Processes tissue.

  • Must work two major holidays from Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.
