Job summary

Call & Nicholas, Inc. in Tucson, AZ seeks a field technician to join our vibrating-wire piezometer installation team. Travel 50-75% to mine sites across AZ and the western US, performing site characterization, data collection, and reporting on field data.

You will work outdoors in varying environments, with alternating shifts and on-call duties as needed. Prior field experience preferred; training available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in engineering, mechanical, or technical fields.
• Ability to work independently in remote locations on high-value projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Comfort using hand tools and battery-powered tools safely.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record; DOT medical exam pass.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Flexibility to work day or night shifts.
• Experience leading teams and working in field settings.

Responsibilities

• Travel to mine sites and install geotechnical instruments in drill holes.
• Perform site characterization, drillhole stability, and downhole equipment installation.
• Data collection, processing, and data reduction of field measurements.
• Prepare technical docs and reports of field data and analyses.
• Coordinate with clients and drillers; maintain DOT records.
• Travel 50-75% and work outdoors in varying environments.
