Job summary

Quality Conveyor Solutions (QCS) is seeking Field Splice Tech/Conveyor Belt Tech in Covington, VA, to perform splicing, installation, and maintenance in heavy industrial environments.

This travel-intensive role requires 50%+ travel, including overnight stays, with on-site customer interactions and documentation. Safety is paramount, and candidates should have 2–3+ years of experience and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

2–3+ years of experience in conveyor belt splicing / vulcanizing.
Strong knowledge of conveyor systems, belt tracking, and material handling equipment.
Willingness to travel 50%+ and adapt to varied schedules.
Valid driver’s license required.
Ability to pass background check and drug testing.

Responsibilities

Perform vulcanized and mechanical belt splicing in field environments.
Set up and operate vulcanizing presses and splicing tools.
Prepare belts using finger, step, and lap splicing techniques.
Install, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on conveyors.
Complete job documentation and provide on-site customer service.
Lead small crews when needed.
