Job summary
Quality Conveyor Solutions (QCS) seeks experienced Field Splice Technicians to join our team. This travel-intensive role focuses on vulcanized splicing, press operation, and field installation in demanding industrial environments.
You will perform maintenance, repairs, and preventative tasks, document time sheets and service reports, and deliver on-site customer support. A strong safety mindset and willingness to travel 50%+ are essential for success.
Qualifications
- 2–3+ years of experience in conveyor belt splicing/vulcanizing
- Strong working knowledge of conveyor systems and belt tracking
- Experience with field service or industrial repair work
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Willingness to travel 50%+
- Valid driver’s license required upon hire
Responsibilities
- Perform vulcanized and mechanical conveyor belt splicing in field environments
- Set up and operate vulcanizing presses, splicing tools, and maintenance equipment
- Prepare belts using various splicing techniques across widths
- Execute conveyor belt installation, repair, and preventative maintenance
- Safely isolate and prepare conveyor systems for service
- Complete job documentation (time sheets, service reports)
- Provide on-site technical support and customer service
- Interact professionally with customers on-site
- Work independently or lead small crews when needed
