Viking Engineering and Development is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain wood fastening machines. You will train operators, calibrate systems, and support customers across domestic and international locations.

The role requires heavy travel (75–100%), strong mechanical and electrical skills, PLC experience, and a two-year degree in mechatronics or automated machines is preferred. A valid driver’s license is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of field service experience with industrial equipment.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain Viking equipment.
• Read blueprints and manuals to ensure correct assembly and operation.
• Test and calibrate equipment to meet specifications.
• Document changes and communicate with engineering teams.
