Job summary

United Natural Foods, Inc. (UNFI) is seeking a local Retail Merchandiser to service Sterling, VA and nearby stores. You will implement and adjust planograms, rotate stock, and support store resets.

This role involves heavy travel, engaging with customers, and collaborating with the sales team to expand product visibility. Responsibilities include stocking, tagging, and executing promotional programs while maintaining strong relationships with store personnel.

Qualifications

• High School degree required.
• Valid driver’s license is necessary.
• Auto Insurance levels that meet UNFI requirements.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand and implement planograms in store and adjust sections as needed.
• Visit retailers on Home Store or Field Sales program to execute customer plans and provide feedback.
• Rotate stock, remove out-of-code products, and process merchandise returns per policy.
• Interpret internal reports and complete required paperwork accurately and timely.
• Sell promotional and sales programs and respond to customer product requests.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers and UNFI stakeholders via in-person, phone, and email communication.
• Order products aligning with customer needs and assist in tagging and displays.
• Develop action plans with supervision to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Engage customers with the full Professional Services Portfolio to strengthen relationships.
