Job summary

Chaney Enterprises is seeking an Aggregate Utility Operator in Mardela Springs, MD. The role focuses on safe operation of heavy equipment, routine maintenance, inspections, and cross-functional support across quarry and plant sites.

You will perform testing per industry standards, maintain cleanliness, follow MSHA safety rules, and help keep production schedules. This full-time, day-shift position requires travel between sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in aggregate operations, heavy construction, mining, or a closely related field.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Safely operates heavy mobile equipment including front-end loaders, haul trucks, skid steers, and excavators to move, stockpile, and load aggregate materials.
• Performs routine preventative and corrective maintenance on mobile and plant-based equipment, including cutting and welding tasks.
• Conducts thorough pre-shift and post-shift inspections on all assigned equipment and documents findings.
• Maintains site cleanliness and safe traffic flow; supports production, loading, shipping, and quality control.
• Supports startup/shutdown procedures and assists in troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Performs product and material testing per ASTM, AASHTO, DOT standards and prepares test reports.
