Job summary

ProAutomated is seeking curious, adaptable problem-solvers for a field-based role that travels across North America. You’ll support data center startups, perform mechanical, electrical, and control checks on-site, and collaborate with engineers to ensure systems work flawlessly when it matters most.

The position requires a technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience (3+ years) in electrical/mechanical/automation engineering, willingness to travel, and the ability to work remotely with

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on work in electrical/mechanical/automation fields.
• Willingness to travel and stay away from home on rotation.
• Fundamental programming, networking and electrical systems knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Support data center startups with on-site mechanical, electrical, and control checks.
• Lead startup, checkout, and acceptance testing for warehouse and manufacturing systems.
• Partner with automation engineers to test, troubleshoot, and validate systems on-site.
• Provide clear communication and updates to customers and project teams.
• Rotate travel on schedules such as 5 on-2 off, 10 on-4 off, or 14 on-7 off.
