Job summary

Steritech in Harrisburg, PA is seeking a Food Safety Specialist to support hotel, restaurant and grocery clients, uphold brand standards, ensure exceptional food quality, and deliver customer-focused service. This role emphasizes audits, training, and corrective action plans in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires CP-FS certification, travel 50–70% (8–10 days per month), a valid driver's license, and strong communication and time-management skills.

Qualifications

• Meet the requirements to obtain a CP-FS certification.
• Available to work Monday-Friday and Saturdays and evenings as needed.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license from state of residence.
• Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and local regulations (covered by us).
• Strong knowledge of food safety is preferred.
• ServSafe and/or CP-FS Certification(s) a plus.
• Excellent listening, organization, communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments to measure conformity to regulatory, industry, and brand standards.
• Observe food prep and cooking standards to ensure food safety.
• Partner with clients to address root causes and develop corrective action plans.
• Teach and coach clients to create safer, healthier workplaces.
• Travel 50%–70%, including some evenings and weekends.
