Steritech in New York City is seeking a Food Safety Specialist to support hotel, restaurant, and grocery clients by upholding brand standards, ensuring food safety, and delivering friendly, customer-focused service to enhance the overall guest experience. The role requires audits, coaching for safer practices, and travel 50-70% with some evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Meet the requirements to obtain a CP-FS certification.
• Available to work Monday-Friday and Saturdays and evenings as needed.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license from state of residence.
• Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and local regulations.
• Strong knowledge of food safety is preferred.
• ServSafe and/or CP-FS Certification(s) a plus.
• Excellent listening, organization, communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct audits and inspections per standards.

• Training and educating staff.
• Investigating food safety incidents.
