Job summary

The Hiller Companies, LLC is seeking a Fire Alarm Service Technician to inspect, test, maintain and repair fire alarm systems. This traveling role covers the New Mexico market and reports to the Wilmington, NC office, with up to 100% travel within New Mexico.

You will perform inspections, document findings, and provide recommendations for improvements, ensuring compliance with NFPA codes and safety standards. A strong customer-facing approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Inspection and testing of fire alarm components in accordance with industry standards.
• Maintenance and repair of fire alarm systems to ensure reliability.
• Ability to interpret NFPA codes and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and testing of fire alarm components and panels.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and service notes documenting deficiencies.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform repairs to restore system operation.
• Respond to service calls and emergencies, diagnosing issues and implementing fixes.
• Document all activities and parts used using the ServiceTrade platform.
• Coordinate with clients and internal teams to schedule work and provide upgrades.
