Cable Services Company, Inc. in Scranton is seeking a Fiber Splicer to join a traveling crew. The role requires frequent overnight travel across the Northeast, with extended periods away from home and occasional weekend on-call duties.

You will install, splice, and maintain fiber optic systems in various environments, read maps and designs, operate splicing equipment, and coordinate with project managers. A valid driver’s license and the ability to pass drug and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience splicing fiber optic cables.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience reading design maps and fiber schematics.
• Must pass a criminal background check and drug test.
• Valid driver’s license with ability to travel/relocate.

Responsabilités

• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain fiber optic system.
• Prep and hang fiber optic enclosures, nodes and related equipment.
• Route, splice and terminate fiber in equipment racks at central offices or hubs.
• Operate fusion splicing as directed with project managers.
• Read design maps and fiber schematics for installations.
• Be on-call for emergency restoration and support workload status.
