Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Reston, Virginia. This ER travel assignment offers 13 weeks, 36 hours per week, with 12-hour night shifts. Start date is 10/19/2026 and travel capacity allows working in a fast-paced ED environment.

Requirements include ACLS, BLS, PALS, and 1 year of acute care experience. Responsibilities cover triage, bedside care, IV therapy and patient education, with competitive pay and a tax-free stipend.

Qualifications

• Active RN license; ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications; 1 year acute care experience.
• ED/ER or high-acuity setting experience preferred.
• Willingness for 12-hour night ER shifts and travel assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide ED bedside care, triage and treatment per physician orders.
• Perform IV therapy, wound care and patient monitoring.
• Document medical history, vitals and progress notes.
• Support patient and family education and comfort.
