Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an Emergency Room travel nurse (RN) for a 13-week assignment in Reston, Virginia. You will join a fast-paced ED team, covering 12-hour night shifts and 36 hours per week. RN travel roles require ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIH, CPI certifications and 1–2 years acute care experience.

Responsibilities include triage, patient assessment, IV therapy, wound care and ongoing documentation. Expect a dynamic environment with stress-management skills and strong communication across diverse

Qualifications

• 1–2 years recent acute care experience
• Travel nursing role requirements and certifications listed above
• 1 year of related experience in ER/acute care preferred

Responsibilities

• Triage and assess patients in a fast-paced ED environment
• Provide basic bedside care and monitor patient status
• Administer IV therapy, manage wounds and dressings
• Maintain medical supplies and equipment
• Document patient history and vitals accurately; report abuse when applicable
