Job summary

Epic Travel Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Des Moines, Iowa. The role is 12 hour nights, 13 weeks, travel employment with a 50-mile local radius and 36-bed unit.

Unit treats adults with 4:1 patient ratio; scrubs are navy blue; plenty of benefits and a comprehensive pay package with stipends and tax considerations. A full benefits package starts Day 1 and includes health coverage and 401(k) options.

Qualifications

• IA license required and active.
• Minimum 2 years of emergency medicine experience.
• Recent travel experience preferred.
• Experience with drips including sedation, vasoactive, vasopressors, heparin, insulin, and pain control.
• Experience reading tele strips.
• Proficiency with antiarrhythmics, heparin, insulin, and pain control.
• Recent Level I trauma experience.
• EPIC EMR experience.
• ACLS and BLS certifications.
• PALS certification preferred.
• NCCIHSS (NIHSS) preferred.
