Job summary

Epic Travel Staffing seeks a travel nurse RN to work in the ED (Emergency Department) in Des Moines, IA. This travel position runs for 13 weeks with night shifts (12 hours) and a 36-hour workweek, including holiday rotation and every 3rd weekend.

Requirements include IA license, 2 years in emergency medicine, recent travel experience, EPIC EMR experience, ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications, and Level I trauma exposure. The unit uses Navy scrubs; local radius is 50 miles.

Qualifications

• 2 years of emergency medicine experience.
• Experience reading tele strips.
• Proficiency with antiarrhythmics, heparin, insulin, pain control.

Responsibilities

• Provide RN care in ED during night shifts (12 hours).
• Coordinate patient care and safety in a 36-bed ED unit.
• Follow travel assignment requirements and schedule for 13 weeks.
